Biography
Born and raised in St. Mary's County on the Chesapeake Bay, Captain Phil has acquired a lifetime of local knowledge. Growing up in St. Mary’s County crabbing, oystering, fishing and hunting…and oh yes, working the tobacco fields.  With his Chesapeake heritage and his next generation in the wings, it's no wonder that he has developed a family charter business on the Bay.  Come join Captain Phil and let him introduce you to the charm, natural beauty, heritage, and delicate balance of our region's estuaries.

Trips
Travel along the same waterway as Captain John Smith and the first settlers of St. Mary's City in 1634. Board the Lisa S, a traditional, 48-foot, wooden charter boat and retrace the trail of the English explorers who sailed the Ark and the Dove up what is now called St. Mary’s River aboard our ‘Heritage Cruise’.

Experience the Chesapeake Bay – hands-on! As part of our ‘Waterman’ excursion you’ll try the tools of the trade - hand tonguing a few oysters or pulling pots to harvest blue crabs.

If you love lighthouses let us glide you round a few of the Chesapeake’s, water-only accessible lights; including Point-No-Point and Hooper Island lights.  Board our ‘Bay Lights’ cruise and reach out and touch Point-No-Point Lighthouse, located in the middle Chesapeake Bay.

If you just simply love being on the water, we can accommodate that too with a two, three, or four hour ‘Cruise to Nowhere’ that will blend history, the beauty of the Bay, and some wonderful photo opportunities.

To complete your day, when you return to the pier, settle in for a picnic lunch - shore-side at the ‘Shore-Side Pavilion’ where you’ll find picnic tables, a gas grill, and plenty of room to relax.
