  • Ida May Skipjack - Visit and learn about the Ida May Skipjack, a 42-ft long boat that was a working member of the sailing oyster dredgeboats. 

  • J. Millard Tawes Historical Museum - The museum tells the history of Crisfield, MD from the formation of the Chesapeake Bay to the present. Tour guides and gifts are also available from this location. 
  • Rock Creek Methodist Episcopal Church - This historic church was built in 1900 in the Gothic style. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. 

  • Smith Island Cultural Center - The center includes a small museum with exhibits related to the island's history and culture, as well as tourist information, gifts, and special exhibits. 
  • Teackle Mansion - Visit this 200 year-old American villa to witness unique luxuries of the Teackle family in the early 19th century.

Recreational

  • Deal Island State Wildlife Management Area - This 13,000 acre property features a variety of wetlands for some of Maryland's best bird-watching, hiking, biking, and managed hunting. 
  • Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge - Blackwater is a sanctuary for migrating birds along the Atlantic Flyway, making it a hotspot for bird-watchers, paddlers, and hikers. 

  • Pocomoke River State Park - The park offers boating services, camp sites, paddling, hiking trails, and a nature center to enjoy the great variety of plant and animal life.

  • Assateague Island - See the island's famous wild ponies that make the swim every year to Chincoteage. Assateague is also a vital shorebird habitat, offering bird-watching of over 320 species. 

  • Janes Island State Park - Janes Island includes over 2,900 acres of saltmarsh, 30 miles of water trails, and miles of pristine beaches, making it a great destination to experience the beauty of the Chesapeake. 

  • Taylors Island Wildlife Management Area - This almost untouched 1,120 acres is a classic illustration of Chesapeake Bay tidal marsh habitat. Enjoy various water recreation activities and seasonal hunting.
